Senior Data Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The analyst will document, manage, analyze, visualize, and present data from multiple systems to support important data driven business decisions across the enterprise. The individual will lead projects of various sizes, collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, and utilize a variety of tools. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Frequent collaboration with stakeholders to build relationships, understand business processes, and collect & analyze data to improve business outcomes.
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports, visualizations, databases, spreadsheets, and other business tools to assist stakeholders in making good business decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures, best-practices, and other standards.
  • Document structure of company business data such as ERD, source-to-target mappings, and information-model specifications.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Establishing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s in data analysis, computer science, business, or related. An equivalent demonstrated on-the-job experience in combination with related certifications and/or on-the job experience is acceptable.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 or more years of experience mining and managing data as a data analyst.
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
  • Proficient with SQL, Excel, data reporting systems & tools, and related systems.
  • Experience with Tableau, Crystal Reports, Oracle (DDL, SQL, PL/SQL), and ERP systems including Financial Modules a plus.
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Solid technical knowledge of technology infrastructure related to business applications such as cloud services, networks, operating systems, and end-user devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

Job duties are performed mainly within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
