PROJECT MANAGER, MODERNIZATION
JOB SUMMARY
Ensure the successful completion of each project by adhering to schedules, staying within budget, and meeting all technical, financial, and regulatory standards, while also aligning with customer expectations. This role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment on critical matters of significance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- The Modernization Project Manager will support all equipment and machine reconditioning or modification projects, including sales support activities, project kick-off, detailed engineering activities, assembly operations, and final inspection and check-out
- Communicate directly with multiple representatives of the general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, also State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment.
- Set up new projects and change orders and submit for processing.
- Set up job submittal books for submittal to building owner and consultant.
- Maintain job files to include data pertaining to the job; maintain database, record all activity that applies to the job, including current job status and all correspondence and future actions required; close the job file after final acceptance.
- Issue purchase orders and files into job books.
- Follow up with customers on job schedules, and scope of work issues pertinent to projects to ensure consistent workflow on projects.
- Coordinate issuance of letters of intent, city permits and plan checks. Set inspection coordinated with job superintendents and city or state agencies.
- Serve as main contact to multiple layers of the organization, suppliers, and customers assisting in the troubleshooting of technical issues, providing technical assistance as required
- Assist the Parts Department with quoting, parts identification, and preparation of spare parts lists
- Prepare acceptances and process turnovers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years in related field
- Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
- Local Travel expectations: 10%

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
- Job duties are performed mainly within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
- When the employee has cause to visit a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
- Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the industrial facility.
